У статті розглянуто мистецьку інтерпретацію національних концептів у новелістиці Леоніда Мосендза. Досліджено чинники українського ренесансу, що залишаються константними в проекції «минуле – теперішнє – майбутнє». Висвітлено роль особистості- пасіонарія та її відповідальність у процесі консолідації народу, пробудженні пасивної маси, зараженні переможним духом, координації боротьби проти ворогів незалежної держави, формуванні громадянського суспільства. Доведено негативний вплив псевдоісторичного бачення окремих персоналій, що спотворюють істинну візію та пропагують хибні орієнтири. Встановлено пріоритетну функцію етногенетичної пам’яті в подоланні рабської свідомості, позбавленні комплексу меншовартості, психології жертви й утвердженні самобутності нації. З’ясовано семантику образів-символів, значення назв і постаті наратора у текстовій організації творів. Особливу увагу звернено на ідіостиль автора. The article deals with the artistic interpretation of national concepts in novelistic of Leonid Mosendz (1897–1948). It explores the factors of the Ukrainian Renaissance. Causes of success and failure remain the same in the projection of «past present future». It illuminates the role of passion person, her or his responsibility in the process of consolidation of the people. This hero needs to awake passive, faceless mass, to infect them with winning spirit, coordinate the struggle against the enemies of our independent Commonwealth, to encourage the formation of civil society. The paper demonstrates the negative impact of false historical vision of individual personalities. Thus, it distorts the historical truth and popularizes the wrong examples. The investigation convinces the priority function of ethnogenetic memory, which can overcome the slave mentality, to get rid of the inferiority complex, the psychology of victims and establish the identity of the nation. The article clarifies the semantics of images and symbols, the meaning of names in the text of the organization works. It reveals the significance of the narrator. Particular attention is paid to author’s individual style.
