У контексті розгляду головних сторінок
 історії Галицької землі кінця 80-х років
 ХІІ – першої третини ХІІІ ст. аналізуються
 обставини виникнення і побудови храму
 св. Пантелеймона в Галичі, його роль у політичному
 розвитку Прикарпаття. Розглянуто
 перипетії боротьби князів Володимира
 Ярославовича і Романа Мстиславовича
 за владу в Галицькому князівстві, показано
 вплив сусідніх держав на хід протистоянь у
 Прикарпатті. Автором показана роль храму
 як духовного центру резиденції Романа Мстиславовича, його нащадків, відзначається
 посилення значення осередку довкола церкви як центру суспільного життя столиці Галицької
 землі в часи правління князя Мстислава Мстиславовича “Удатного”. The author of the article analyzed the circumstances
 of the appearance and edification of
 the church of Saint Panteleimon in Halych. He
 showed its role in the political development of
 the Carpathian region in the context of the history
 of Galician land during the period of the
 end of the XIIth – the first third of the XIIIth centuries.
 The author considered the vicissitudes of
 the strugglefor power in the principality of Halych
 between princes Vоlodymyr Yaroslavych
 and Roman Mstyslavych, characterized the
 influence of neighboring states to the course
 of confrontation in the Carpathia nregion. He
 highlighted the role of the temple as the spiritual
 center in Roman Mstyslavych’s and his descendants
 residence, noted the increasing importance of the church as the center of public life
 in the capital of Halych land during the prince Mstyslav Mstyslavovych “Udatny”’s reign.
