Автор робить спробу проаналізувати зміст рубрики «З історії
 культури і писемності» збірника «Культура слова», розглядає різні
 часові зрізи нашої писемної культури, простежує зв’язок між цими
 зрізами, звертає увагу, як у статтях висвітлено важливі питання
 вивчення української писемної культури.
 Також висловлено міркування та побажання щодо наповнення
 рубрики новими темами, закцентовано увагу на ювілейному випуску
 «Культури слова», а саме на мовній особистості та багаторічній
 праці головного редактора – знаного лінгвостиліста, філолога,
 лінгвофольклориста, славіста – Світлани Яківни Єрмоленко. The article attempts to analyze the heading «On the history of
 culture and writing» of the journal «Culture of the Word». In the given
 section different time slices of our written culture are considered, the
 connection between these sections is analyzed. The authors comprehend
 important issues of studying the Ukrainian written culture.
 The main topics and topical issues that were considered by the
 scientists on the pages of the mentioned unit are investigated. The
 reasons and suggestions regarding the further development of the
 heading are stated.
 The attention was paid to the anniversary issue of «Cultures of
 the word», namely, the linguistic personality and many years of work
 of the editor-in-chief – a famous linguist-stylist, philologist, linguistfolklorist,
 slavist – Svitlana Yermolenko.
