надають можливість реконструкції епізодів повсякденного буття, соціального складу населення та родинних зв’язків через традиції хрещення чи вінчання. Реєстр проведення церковних обрядів
надає змогу розширити розуміння сімейних взаємин, що ставали
підґрунтям акумуляції та формування ментальності громади. Завдяки переліку прізвищ є перспектива прослідкувати генеалогічний
звязок родин, що нині мешкають в селі і складають основний фонд
дубовицьких фамілій з багатовіковою історією. Висвітлений матеріал є складовою історичних досліджень с. Дубовичі.
The article provides an overview of metric books - historical documents
that record local indicators of the birth, marriage, and death of a parish or
town. These are metric books of the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin in
the village of Dubovychi. These folios are stored in the funds of the archival
institutions of Sumy and Chernihiv regions. Metric records record civil acts
for the period of 1793–1911. This information provides an opportunity to
reconstruct episodes of daily life, social composition of the population and
family ties. This is determined through baptism or wedding records. As a
historical source, metric books contain a great deal of information, enabling
researchers to study various aspects of history, genealogy, demography,
medicine, sociology, statistics, social sciences, and more. The publication
provides an overview of the history of metric books in Ukraine from the time
when Petro Mohyla was a Metropolitan. The constant keeping of metric books
was approved by Peter 1. The records in metric were made by priests. These
were manuscript volumes of two copies, one of which was transmitted to the
Spiritual Consistory at the end of the calendar year. Another copy remained
in the parish, kept in the church. Subsequently, metric forms began to be
printed. This publication is about Metric books in the village of Dubovychi,
for the years 1793, 1825, 1843, 1844, 1896, 1901, 1903-1905, 1907, 1909,
1911. This is due to the informative content of the books, the mention in the
records of prominent persons. The publication reveals a slice of the social
status of the inhabitants of the village of Dubovychi, statistical indicators.
Statistics show the dynamics of fertility, the migration picture, sad mortality
rates point to epidemics. Brief information is given about some prominent
personalities who lived in the village of Dubovychi at different times. The
list of surnames gives an opportunity to trace the genealogical link of the
families that now reside in the village. These names make up the main fund
of the Dubovitsa family names with centuries of history. Illuminated material
is part of the historical research of the village of Dubovychi.
