Могили та пам’ятні знаки учасникам Першої світової війни 1914–1918 рр. на Полтавщині

У статті описані поховання та пам’ятні знаки учасникам Першої світової війни на Полтавщині, їх стан та історичне значення.
 Під час моніторингових експедицій співробітниками науково-дослідного відділу пам’яткознавства Полтавського краєзнавчого музею імені Василя Кричевського у 2013–2019 рр. були виявлені поховання учасників Першої світової війни 1914–1918 рр., Георгіївських
 кавалерів Г.І. Лобаня у смт Котельва Котелевського та К.О. Пруса у с. Усть-Лип’янка Машівського районів Полтавської області;
 пам’ятні знаки у селах Яреськи Шишацького, Шилівка Решетилівського та Вороньки Чорнухинського районів Полтавської області.
 Крім поховань також були віднайдені пам’ятні знаки, встановлені на честь земляків-учасників Першої світової війни 1914–1918 рр.
 Їх умовно можна поділити на дві групи: першу складають ті, що
 встановлені у 1917–1919 рр., другу – сучасні, встановлені у наш час. The article is dedicated to the description of burials and monuments
 of the First World War participants, their state and historic meaning. The
 First World War, which started as military conflict between two groups
 of imperialistic countries, brought Ukraine into the center of military
 and political events. Ukrainian “card” of those years was meaningful
 for Germany, Austro-Hungary, Romania, it was also interesting as a
 part of the region for Great Britain and France.
 49,4 % of working-age population in agriculture were mobilized for
 the Russian Army in Poltava huberniia. Many horses were also taken for
 military purposes. Lack of working hands and horses provoked cutting of
 cultivated area for 330 thousands arpents in huberniia. Though military
 development did not happen at the territory of Poltava huberniia, its
 population participated in the war events not only in mobilization
 processes. Sick quarters and military warehouses were created here by
 the initiative of local Zemstvo.
 During monitoring expeditions of 2013–2019 scientist of the
 monument protection department of the Vasyl Krychevsky Poltava
 Local Lore Museum found burials of the First World War (1914–1918)
 participants that were holders of the St. George Cross: Loban H.I. in
 Kotelva town and Prus K.O. in Ust-Lypianka village of Mashivka district
 of Poltava region.
 Monuments dedicated to this historical events and people who died
 protecting their land were also registered in Yaresky village of Shyshaky
 district, Shulivka village of Reshetylivka district and Voronky village
 of Chornukhy district of Poltava region. These monuments can be
 theoretically divided into two groups. The first one includes monuments
 erected in 1917–1919. They are located in Shylivka village of Reshetylivka
 district and Voronky village of Chornukhy district. The second one unites
 modern memorial, represented by the monument in Yaresky village of
 Shyshaky district of Poltava region.
