У статті проаналізовано семантико-словотвірні тенденції віддієслівних іменників у мовній практиці і прескриптивних працях кінця ХІХ — початку ХХ ст. у контексті взаємодії різних функціональних різновидів літературної мови. Звернено увагу на динаміку семантичного перерозподілу в мові, зокрема розподібнення в процесі історичного розвитку словотвірних варіантів. На розширення чи звуження семантики слова впливають його стилістичні можливості, що є причиною розподілу в мові віддієслівних іменникових пар на пароніми, поняттєві синоніми і варіанти. The article analyzes the semantic and word-formation tendencies of verbal nouns in linguistic practice and prescriptive works of the end of the XIX and beginning of the XX century. in the context of the interaction of various functional varieties of literary language. Pay attention to the dynamics of semantic redistribution in the language, in particular the phenomena of variability, synonymy, paronymy. Word-formationvariants in the process of historical development, as a rule, are classified; occasionally one of them disappears as excess. Extensions or narrowing of the semantics of the word are influenced by its stylistic possibilities, which is the reason for the distribution in verbally verb noun pairs of paronyms (clearly differentiated words), conceptual synonyms and variants. Paronyms arose due to the expansion of stylistic capabilities and the semantic differentiation of options in connection with the requirements of individual functional styles. Synonymous pairs (in particular derivative nouns without value and suffix) preserve the original lexical meaning of the verb, overgrown with new semantic shades and forming different paradigms of lexical compatibility.
