The register of dictionary will make the foreign appealing vocabulary, which is available in the Northern Ukrainian monuments of the XVI–XVII centuries, inherited and non-inherited vocabulary in Ukrainian language. Borrowed words will be categorized according to etymological source; etymons from possible intermediary languages will also be provided. All illustrated lexical meanings will include illustrative material. If necessary, some words will be submitted to the broader comments, especially if the token has a different interpretation of etymologists, we refer to relevant literature in the vocabulary. The source of the database of the dictionary will be texts of different styles of the XVI–XVII centuries, which originate from the northern Ukrainian territories and clearly reveal the polissya’s linguistic features.
