When studying the contents of 6906 stomaches in birds of 234 species the beetles of
Coccinellidae family are found in 140 stomaches of 48 species of birds. The probability of
eating of each separate species of beetles from the Coccinellidae family was calculated.
It confirmed that these beetles, including the usual and widely distributed species, are
chance and rather rare object of bird nutrition.
