Digital Library of Periodicals of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine| Резюме: | 31 species of leaf beetles of the subfamily Cryptocephalinae are found on the Cri-mea area, in the stepp zone — 12, and in the mountain-forest — 26 species. They are related to the genera Cryptocephalus Geoffr. (26 species), Pachybrachis R e d t. (3 species) and Stylosomus S f f r. (2 species).
The following groups are distinguished among Cryptocephalinae of the stepp zone: half-desert xerophyls (4 species), steppe xerophyls (1 species), steppe mesophyls (2 species), forest mesophyls (1 species), meadow mesophyls (1 species) and ubiquists (2 species).
In the mountain-forest zone the authors find forest (12 species), steppe (6 species) and meadow mesophyls (2 species), steppe (1 species), half-desert (1 species) and euri-biotic xerophyls (2 species), as well as ubiquists (2 species). A vertical zonality in Cryp-tocephalinae distribution is noted in the mountain-forest zone. An oak forest belt appea-red to be • the richest in relation to species, 16 species were discovered there. Further, in the direction of mountain summits, the fauna becomes poorer gradually, and already in oak-hornbeam forests it is presented by 10, in beech-hornbeam forest by 8 and on mauntain pastures — by 8 species.
The river valleys are characterized by great variety of species composition. 17 spe-cies of Cryptocephalinae are found here. The rivers serve as a link, connecting all the zones of the mauntain and steppe Crimea.
The most part of Cryptocephalinae (16 species) is connected with woody vegetation.
