Description
Summary:The authors determine that hypsometric position of the six stages of the Red (Krasnaya) cave does not correspond to the levels of six terraces of the Sal-gir river. With the help of dating finds of the fossil bones in the corresponding alluvial and cave deposits the authors succeeded to synchronize the terraces with the stages. The paleontological data make it possible to establish that the formation of the sixth stage of the Red cave began in the middle Pliocene, the fifth — in the late Pliocene, the fourth — in the middle Homicene, the third — in the early-middle Pleistocene, the second — in the early Holocene and the first — in the middle Holocene.
