У статті підбито підсумки першого раунду оцінювання ефективності діяльності наукових установ НАН України та їхніх підрозділів за період
 2016—2022 рр. Проведено порівняння результатів оцінювання наукових
 установ за Методикою НАН України та їх державної атестації за Методикою МОН України. Окреслено шляхи подальшого вдосконалення процедури та методики оцінювання. The issues of reforming the scientific system of Ukraine, in particular, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine
 (NASU), as the flagship of Ukrainian science, become especially relevant now in the context of Eurointegration. The
 New Methodology for evaluating the effectiveness of research organizations is an important component of the reform of
 the NASU in order to implement the measures, prescribed by the Concept of Development of the National Academy of
 Sciences of Ukraine for 2014–2023. The article considers the results of the first round of evaluation, which took place in
 2016–2021 (according to the distribution by the sections and the departments of the NASU). The composition of the
 expert commissions involved in the evaluation procedure is analyzed. Comparison of the results of the evaluation of research
 organizations of the NАSU with the results of the state certification by the Ministry of Education and Science of
 Ukraine was carried out. Some problems and difficulties that arose during the evaluation process, as well as the most
 important issues that need to be solved, are identified. It is noted that changes and amendments (mostly in the form of
 comments and clarifications) were made to the draft of the new edition of NASU’s Methodology for evaluating. They
 took into account the comments and suggestions on the part of organizations, departments and sections of the NASU, as
 well as from the members of commissions of all levels, which were involved in the evaluation procedure. In order to implement
 the measures, aimed at further reform of the NASU, it is proposed to introduce a system of annual monitoring of the
 main indicators of the state and effectiveness of the activities of research organizations as a supplement to the five-yearly
 evaluation of the results of activity. It will provide an opportunity to monitor distribution and utilization of the budget
 funds in an expeditious mode, based on the results of the organizations’ activities for the previous year. Such monitoring
 will open the way for revision of fund distribution for the next year.
