Ecological peculiarities of water beetles are given first for the Transcarpathian region. The following four groups are distinguished with respect to the current, temperature and chemical composition water: rheobionts (3 species), rheophils (18), weak rheophils (12), stagnophils (59). The latter relative to water chemical composition are subdivided into subgroups: acidophils (13), halophils (3), weak halophils (3), eurybionts (40).
