Collembola quan¬tity in nests of various species of mammals is determined not so much by the structure and depth of the nest occurrence as by the character of the biotope, and in one and the same host it depends exclusively on the place of the nest location. The following 10 species of Collembola are dominating everywhere: Onychiurus procampatus, 0. octopunctatus, Ceratophysella succinea, Isotomina orientalis, Isotoma propinqua, I. fennica, I. notabilis, Lepidocyrtus cyaneus, Pseudosinella fallax, P. sexoculata.
