We have studied the role of baroosmose in the subsurface hydrosphere at depths of about 1000–1500 m. A number of unintelligible hydrogeological facts are considered which can be explained by the theory of baroosmose. It is demonstrated that baroosmose may easily manifest itself in the porous water of marine deposits.
