Diclidophora sprostonae Martin, 1973 and Myctophiphilus arabicus Mama e v, 1976, are transferred to this genus. Myctophiphilus Mamaev, 1976 is sunk in synonymy of Polyipnicola M a maev et Paruchin, 1975. Three species from the fishes of the family Myctophidae are described as new. Polyipnicola hygophi sp. n. (host: (Hygophum hygomi) similar to P. macrovarium Mamaev et Paruchin, 1975 (type-species), differs in less numerous testicles (4-5) and in clamps shape. P. lampichthyi sp. n. (host: Lampichthys procerus) differs from all other species in thick, short body, clamps distribution over posterior margins of the body (haptor is not pronounced), in the shape and position of clamps. P. lata sp. n. (host: Gymnoscopelus bolini) differs in wide, leaf-like haptor and clamp structure. The first two are described from the Atlantic Ocean, the third from the Indian Ocean. ru Інститут зоології ім. І.І.
