Zusammenfassung:A close examination of the type specimens of Bunopus aspratilis Andersone and Tropocolotes neterophous Minton, S. Anderson, J. Anderson, and their comparison with other species o Palearctic geckos showed their close similarity, they are united into a separate genus Carinatogecko gen. nov., with B. aspratis as a type species. From species formerlyrelated to Gymnodactylus, the new genus differs in keeledsubdigital lamellae; from Tropiocol otes, dienodactulus and Crossobamon - in the presence of distinct longitudinal and transverse rows of large dorsal tubercles and absence of lateral fringeso n digits; from Bunopus species- in the shape, dimension and mutua disposition o nasa ano suoralabia smelds and scales. Dlates and mammercies the tail segment. C. aspratilis is characteristic of dorsal scales notably finer than abdominal. high and acute tail tubercles and the presence of similar tubercles on antebrachium and dorsum. C. heteropholis differs from this species in more or less equal dorsal and ventral scales, in flatened caudal tubercles and homogeneous antebrachial scales. A close relationof Carinatogecko species to subgenus Mediodactylus. Szczerbak et Golubev, 1977 is emphasized. A key to Carinatogecko speciesand a scheme of their phyloge. netic relationships with Mediodactylus species are given.
