the tail segment. C. aspratilis is characteristic of dorsal scales notably finer than abdominal. high and acute tail tubercles and the presence of similar tubercles on antebrachium
and dorsum. C. heteropholis differs from this species in more or less equal dorsal and ventral scales, in flatened caudal tubercles and homogeneous antebrachial scales. A close relationof Carinatogecko species to subgenus Mediodactylus. Szczerbak et Golubev, 1977 is emphasized. A key to Carinatogecko speciesand a scheme of their phyloge. netic relationships with Mediodactylus species are given.
