Враховуючи географічну близькість до столиці й зв’язок із нею в ключових питаннях розвитку, відбулися процеси інкорпорації Броварщини до литовської держави (хоча й із врахуванням місцевого базису й традицій). Метою дослідження є спроба історичної реконструкції окремих особливостей розвитку Броварського краю в литовський період (за правління Володимира Ольгердовича). Методи: історичний, проблемно-аналітичний. Наукова новизна полягає у визначенні основних процесів розвитку краю в литовську добу з урахуванням місцевих особливостей та специфіки. Висновки. У процесі вивчення питання досліджено особливості розвитку Броварського краю в литовський період. Показано, що період литовського правління мав вагомі риси автономії врядування, що дозволяло князю провадити досить незалежну політику в різних сферах. Зокрема, вагомі зусилля були спрямовані на утвердження внутрішньої автономії шляхом підтримки місцевих феодалів. Також було сприяння розвитку економіки краю, ремесел і промислів. Вагома роль належала торгівлі, адже тут проходили торгові шляхи, розташовувалися митниці, митні пости й застави. Враховуючи досить високий рівень розвитку економіки, було й монетне карбування. Важливо, що для забезпечення потреб роздрібних операцій почалося карбування імітацій ординської монети – київських наслідувань Джанібека, а потім й власних монет Ольгердовича. Важливе значення для історії краю має Русанівський скарб. An important page in the history of Brovarshchyna is the Lithuanian period, which is little researched now, but it had a powerful impact on the functioning possibilities of the region. Taking into account the geographical proximity to the capital and the connection with it in key issues, the processes of incorporation of Brovarshchyna into the Lithuanian state took place (though taking into account the local basis and traditions). The purpose of the research is an attempt to reconstruct separate historical features of the functioning of the Brovary region in the Lithuanian period (during the reign of Volodymyr Olherdovych). Methods: historical, problematic-analytical. The scientific novelty consists in determining the main processes of the region’s functioning in the Lithuanian period, taking into account local features and specificities. Conclusions. In the process of studying the issue, peculiarities of the functioning of the Brovary region in the Lithuanian period were investigated. It is shown that the period of Lithuanian rule had important features of the autonomy of governance, which allowed the prince to implement a rather independent policy in various spheres. In particular, significant efforts were made to establish inland autonomy by supporting local feudalists. It was inherent in promoting the functioning of the region’s economy, crafts and industries. Trade played an important role, as trade routes, customs, customs posts and outposts were located here. Given the rather high level of economic functioning, there was also a place for coinage to service it. It is important that in order to meet the needs of retail operations, the minting of imitations of the Horde coin – Kiev imitations of Janibek, and Olgerdovych’s own coins – began.
