У статті проаналізовано особливості діяльності Сергія Олександровича Бояренка на посаді директора Переяславського хлібозаводу – одного з флагманів промисловості регіону в другій половині ХХ ст. – та його вплив на розвиток економіки Переяславщини. Указаний період був дуже складним, оскільки підприємство тільки-но почало функціонувати. Глибока загальна криза
 1990-х рр. не давала можливості працювати на повну потужність. На прикладі одного заводу досліджуються особливості діяльності підприємств хлібопекарської галузі в умовах нестабільної
 державної політики. Звертається також увага на стиль та методи роботи С.О. Бояренка, який
 пройшов шлях від слюсаря до керівника хлібозаводу.
 Мета статті – дослідити внесок С.О. Бояренка як директора Переяславського хлібозаводу в
 становлення та функціонування новозбудованого підприємства, розширення асортименту та шляхів реалізації його продукції, а також значення заводу для розвитку промисловості Переяславщини
 в другій половині ХХ ст.
 У ході роботи використовувалися методи аналізу та систематизації попередніх публікацій і
 польових досліджень автора, даних архівних джерел і матеріалів місцевих ЗМІ, які висвітлюють
 діяльність С.О. Бояренка як керівника одного з найбільших промислових підприємств Переяслава,
 зроблено узагальнення досвіду його управлінської діяльності.
 Новизна статті полягає у висвітленні впливу діяльності керівника на особливості функціонування всього підприємства в складних економічних умовах в Україні наприкінці ХХ ст. на прикладі
 Переяславського хлібозаводу.
 Висновки. Саме завдяки конструктивним своєчасним рішенням, які прийняв С.О. Бояренко в
 умовах глибокої всеукраїнської економічної кризи, Переяславський хлібозавод продовжував функціонувати наприкінці 90-х рр. ХХ ст. – у той час, коли більшість підприємств припинила своє існування, ставши банкрутами. Одночасно проаналізовано роль заводу в економіці Переяславщини у вказаний період. The article analyzes specifics of Serhiy Oleksandrovich Boyarenkoʼs activities as the director of the Pereyaslav
 bakery – one of the flagships of the regionʼs industry in the second half of the 20th c., and his influence
 on the development of economy of the Pereyaslav region. This period was very difficult, as the company
 had just started functioning. The deep general crisis of the 1990s made it impossible to work at full
 capacity. On the example of one plant, peculiarities of the activity of enterprises in the bakery industry in
 the conditions of unstable state policy are investigated. Attention is also drawn to the style and methods of
 work of S.O. Boyarenko, who made his way from a locksmith to the head of a bread factory.
 The purpose of the article is to investigate the contribution of S.O. Boyarenko as the director of the
 Pereyaslav bakery in the formation and functioning of the newly built enterprise, the expansion of the
 assortment and ways of selling its products, as well as the importance of the plant for the development of
 the industry of Pereyaslav region in the second half of the 20th c.
 In the course of the study, the author used methods of analysis and systematisation of previous publications
 and field research, data from archival sources and local media materials covering the activities of
 S.O. Boyarenko as the head of one of the largest industrial enterprises of Pereyaslav, and summarised the
 experience of his managerial activities.
 The novelty of the article lies in highlighting the impact of the managerʼs activities on the functioning
 of the entire enterprise in difficult economic conditions in Ukraine at the end of the 20th c. on the example
 of the Pereyaslav bakery.
 Conclusions. Due to the constructive and timely decisions made by S.O. Boyarenko in the context of a
 deep all-Ukrainian economic crisis, the Pereiaslav bakery continued to operate in the late 90s of the
 20th c., at a time when most enterprises ceased to exist and became bankrupt. At the same time, the role of
 the factory in the economy of Pereyaslavshchyna in the specified period was analyzed.
