The Basque Country distinguishes itself from other French regions by the enigmatic origins of its population, but also by people alternate demands for national integration and autonomy. This has led to a bipolar structuration of (Basque and French) people imagination’s world that is subject today to new restructurations as a result of Basque nationalists’ ideological action. The ethnological data presented here concern Basque architectural style and rock.
