У раду се анализира круг песама који говори о сукобу јунака (Марка Краљевића и Бановић Секуле / Сибињанин Јанка) с вилом око подизања шатора са становишта древних (космогонијских и иницијацијских) образаца и симболичких значења, као и прилагођавања конкретног лика одређеном сижејном моделу, и обрнуто.
