Poems about marriage, as «male text», are focused on the male liminal phase and female separation. In the epic pattern, the fragments of the ritual practice are retained, modified, emphasized, or excluded, moved on the linear axis as provided by the logic of the epic genre.
Овајрад испитује ритуалну подлогу епских песама о женидби, нарочито први сегмент обреда прелаза, тј. сепарацију, одвајање. Песме о женидби се, као «мушки текст», фокусирају на мушку лиминалну фазу и женску сепарацију. Епски модел чува фрагменте обредне праксе, модификује их, наглашава или изоставља, помера на линеарној оси, а све у складу са законитостима жанра.
