Простежено розвиток Ірдинського (Виноградського) монастиря в умовах конкуренції політичних систем Російської імперії та Речі Посполитої на Правобережній Україні, його місце у відносинах між різними церковними структурами та зв’язки із місцевим населенням.
Наукова новизна статті полягає у розкритті процесу розвитку звичайного чернечого осередку на Правобережній Україні впродовж ХVІІІ століття та уведенні до наукового обігу раніше неопублікованої інформації.
The article analyzes historical events related to the functioning of the Irdyn (Vinohrad) monastery in the Smilyan region throughout the 18th century in the conditions of confrontation between the two states - the Russian Empire and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. The peculiarities of these historical conditions and processes are noted. The connections of the monastery at that time with various social strata of the Ukrainian population are revealed. On the basis of historical sources, a number of factors that influenced the development of the monastery are considered - the rivalry between church structures (Orthodox and Uniate), the spread of the influence of the Russian Empire on the Right Bank, the development of the national movement (Haidamatsvo, Koliivshchyna), etc.
The development of the Irdinsky (Vinohrad) monastery in the conditions of competition between the political systems of the Russian Empire and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in Right- Bank Ukraine, its place in the relations between various church structures and connections with the local population is traced.
The scientific novelty of the article lies in the disclosure of the process of development of an ordinary monastic center in Right Bank Ukraine during the 18th century and the introduction of previously unpublished information into scientific circulation.
