The relevance of the study consists in the fact that attention is paid to the significance of European countries in supporting Ukrainian researchers and artists during russia’s full-scale war of 2022–2023 against Ukraine. The tragic conditions of the Ukrainian present have caused a huge cultural upsurge. The attention of the global artistic community is focused on the Ukrainian theme: history, culture, folklore, etc. The family of European nations, to which Ukraine belongs undoubtedly, supports the Ukrainian people in their struggle for independence and national identity. The Baltic countries, occupied by the Soviet authorities in the recent past, express great solidarity with the Ukrainian people. Ukrainian researchers forced to leave the country have received temporary shelter in Estonia with the assistance of the Estonian Research Council. They are also given an opportunity to continue their studies. A positive result of cooperation between European and Ukrainian colleagues consists in is the intensive integration of modern Ukrainian investigations into the European scientific space, the acquisition of new scientific experience, the expansion of scientific horizons, as well as the familiarization of the scientific community with achievements of Ukrainian researchers. A real challenge for me was the participation in the research project A Corpus-Based Approach to Folklore Variations: Regional Styles, Thematic Networks and Communicative Modes in Runosong Tradition of the Estonian Literary Museum of Tartu under the guidance of the famous folklorist Marie Sarv. This project involves mastering the programming languages R-Studio, Music 21, etc. I have the opportunity to join this project with the theme Methodology of Corpus Analysis of Folk Melodies and Testing on the Examples of Estonian and Ukrainian Folk Songs. The corpus of calendar-ritual songs contained in the books Folk Songs of Hmelnychchyna and Folk Songs of Vinnychchyna (both by Liudmyla Yefremova and Mykola Dmytrenko, Kyiv: IASFE, 2014, 2019) has been chosen as the research material. The most important Ukrainian-Estonian scientific and artistic projects (2022–2023) are realized with the participation of M. Rylskyi IASFE research fellow Inna Lisniak. Her participation is described.
