Артыкул грунтуецца на матэрыялах палявых даследаванняў, якія былі праведзены сярод паслядоўнікаў новых рэлігій на терыторыі Беларусі ў 1990-х – першай палове 2000-х гадоў. Разглядаецца уплыў рэлігіёзнай прыналежнасці паслядоўнікаў новых рэлігій на выбар імі мовы набажэнства і штодзённых зносін, этнічную самаідэнтыфікацыю.
