Мета статті – ознайомити з результатами польової роботи в цьому районі та порівняти стан ігрової культури сучасної Куп’янщини з відомостями П. Іванова, визначити відмінність між згадуванням ігрових моментів та їхнім відтворенням під час інтерв’ю з інформантами різних вікових груп. Методи дослідження. Польові дослідження проводилися у вигляді розгорнутих інтерв’ю; була зроблена спроба фіксувати дитячі ігри не під час згадування, а безпосередньо в ігровому процесі. У статті обґрунтовується теза, що опис ігор П. Івановим є певним узагальнення матеріалу, що він отримував від різних інформантів, а не цитування одного джерела. Основні результати дослідження. Вивчення матеріалу сучасних дитячих ігор Куп’янщини дало можливість з’ясувати, що ігрова культура багато в чому ґрунтується на традиційних народних іграх. Деякі із цих ігор активно трансформуються – «Креймахи», «Свинки», а деякі відновлюються засобами навчання – «У Панаса», «У тарана». Порушується проблема методології фіксації народних ігор, пов’язана з технологією і методичними прийомами, що їх використовують вітчизняні дослідники. Висновки. Елементи багатьох народних ігор фіксуються в сучасній ігровій культурі, а деякі ігри залишаються актуальними впродовж століття. Зазначається, що найдієвішим методом дослідження ігрової культури є метод включеного спостереження, який супроводжувався відеофіксацією всього процесу гри. Саме в такий спосіб необхідно провадити дослідження сучасної ігрової культури. The research problem. The issue of studying the living tradition of game culture is raised in the article. It is considered, by way of example, of the Kupiansk district of the Kharkiv region, since we have enough material collected on this territory and published by Petro Ivanov in the early 20th century. The purpose of the article is to present the results of fieldwork in this district and compare the state of the game culture of the modern Kupiansk district with Petro Ivanov's information to define the difference between mentioning the game moments and their recreation during the interviews with the informants of various age groups. Research methods. Field studies have been conducted in the form of detailed interviews. An attempt is made to fix children’s games without mentioning them, and directly in the game. The thesis that the games' description by Petro Ivanov represents a certain generalization of the material that he has received from various informants, but not the citing of one source, is substantiated in the article. Main results of the research. The study of the material of the modern children’s games of the Kupiansk district has made it possible to point out that the game culture is based in many aspects on traditional folk games. Some of them are transformed actively – Kreimahy, Piggies, and some are restored by means of training – Panas, Taran. An issue with the methodology of folk game fixing is raised. It is connected with the technology and methodical ways used by Ukrainian investigators. Conclusions. The elements of many folk games are fixed in modern game culture, and some games remain relevant for centuries. It is noted that the method of including observation, accompanied by video fixation of the entire game process, is considered to be the most effective method in the game culture.
