У статті аналізуються праці ХІХ – першої третини ХХ століття, в яких розглядається історія сарматів Північного Причорномор’я. Наводиться огляд думок, що характеризуються концептуальним підходом до відтворення історії цих номадів у дослідженнях даної проблеми. In the article the works of XIX – the first third of XX centuries are analyzed, in which the history of the Sarmatians of the Northern Black Sea Coast region is considered. There is the review of the thoughts there, which are characterized by the conceptual approach to the reconstruction of these nomads’ history in the researches of given problem.
