У статті вперше запропоновані до уваги читачів документи-біографії, перших жителів Хаджибея (Одеси) в кінці XVIII – початку ХІХ ст. Документи, являють собою описи жителів, які проживали в Хаджибеї (Одесі), а потім вирішили оселитися у фортецях Буджака – Аккермані, Кілії, Ізмаїлі. Документи зберігаються у фондах Комунальної установи “Ізмаїльський архів” та Російському державному військово-історичному архіві. Біографії дозволяють з’ясувати – ономастику, демографічний склад родини, зовнішній вигляд походження жителів, їхні заняття і, навіть, мову спілкування. Внаслідок стислого аналізу можна виявити, що робітники мали різну етнічну належність, серед них були українці, росіяни, греки, молдовани; переходили робітники, переважно з Правобережної, Південної України та Бессарабії.
In the article, for the first time, the biographical documents of the first inhabitants of Khadzhybey (Odesa) in the end 18th the early 19th centuries are brought to the readers' attention. The documents are descriptions of residents who lived in Khadzhybey (Odesa), and then decided to settle in Budjak's fortresses – Akkerman, Kiliya, Izmail. The documents are in the funds of the Communal Institution "Izmail Archive" and the Russian State Military Historical Archive. Biographies demonstrate the onomastics, the demographic composition of the family, the appearance of the origin of the inhabitants, their occupations and, even, the language of communication. As a result of a brief analysis, it can be found that the workers had different ethnicities, among them there were Ukrainians, Russians, Greeks, Moldovans; workers, mainly from Right-Bank Ukraine, Southern Ukraine and Bessarabia, moved there.
