Стаття присвячена основним моментам гастрольно-сценічної діяльності Ніжинського українського драматичного театру ім. М. М. Коцюбинського у 90-х рр. ХХ ст. Місцева преса є одним з джерел вивчення творчого життя Ніжинського драматичного театру. Рецензії на спектаклі та публікації, вміщені в періодичних виданнях, були присвячені найбільш яскравим прем’єрам та виставам за участі його акторської трупи. Метою даної розвідки є виокремлення основних мистецьких тенденцій та напрямків у творчому пошуку театрального колективу. The article is devoted to the main moments of the touring stage performance of the Nizhyn Ukrainian Drama Theater named after M. M. Kotsiubynskyi in the 90s of the 20th century. The processed materials of articles in the local press are a source for studying bright moments in the creative life of the Nizhyn Drama Theater. Reviews of performances and publications included in them were devoted to the most vivid premieres and performances with the participation of his acting troupe. The purpose of this investigation is to highlight the main artistic trends and directions in the creative search of the Nizhyn Theater team. These include publications by O. Nazarova, L. Romanchuk, O. Chumachenko, Yu. Kahanov, N. Petrenko, and others. Each period in the history of the Nizhyn Drama Theater named after M. Kotsiubynskyi remained forever in the memory of many generations of viewers, including the 90s of the 20th century. The study of the creative output of the Nizhyn Drama Theater in the period under study became possible thanks to the appearance of publications that are a source for highlighting the creative activity of this artistic collective. The first post-Soviet decade in the life of the Nizhyn Drama Theater was distinguished by the variety of performances, their deep emotional content, the successful use and combination of comic-musical and dramatic techniques, which gave the actors the opportunity to fully reveal their skills, show themselves from different angles, and help the team establish itself in the artistic environment of the city and region. The theater team continued the glorious traditions of Mariia Zankovetska and used new scenic and artistic directions.
