Проведено порівняльний аналіз нормативної та наукової літератури з питань вимірювання, контролю та діагностики. Вказані існуючі, на думку авторів, недоліки у визначеннях термінів: «вимірювання», «контроль», «діагностика». Авторами запропоновано уніфікований шаблон для визначення вказаних термінів з точки зору складових процесів нижчого рівня, а не з точки зору функціонального призначення вимірювання, контролю та діагностики. Складовими всіх означених процесів є процеси нижчого рівня, а саме: порівняння, запам’ятовування результатів порівняння та процес формування вихідного коду. Згідно із шаблоном запропоновано визначення процесів вимірювання, контролю та діагностики. A comparative analysis of normative and scientific literature on measurement, control, and diagnostics has been conducted. The existing shortcomings in the definitions of the terms "measurement," "control," and "diagnostics" are pointed out, according to the authors. The authors propose a unified template for defining these terms from the perspective of the lower-level processes, rather than from the perspective of the functional purpose of measurement, control, and diagnostics. The components of all the mentioned processes are lower-level processes, namely: comparison, memorization of the comparison results, and the process of forming the output code. According to the template, definitions of the processes of measurement, control, and diagnostics are proposed.
