A New (But Very Nearly Old) Proof of the Rogers-Ramanujan Identities
We present a new proof of the Rogers-Ramanujan identities. Surprisingly, all its ingredients are already in Rogers' seminal paper from 1894, where he gave a considerably more complicated proof.
