Между видами Verbascum thapsiforme Schrad. и V. nigrum L. в местах непосредственного контакта их популяций происходит естественная гибридизация, в результате которой возникают гибриды, занимающие по большинству морфологических признаков вегетативных и генеративных органов промежуточное положение между родительскими видами. Вместе с тем, по ряду других признаков они выявляют сходство как с одним, так и с другим родительским видом, но степень его бывает разной, в частности, выше с V. nigrum, чем с V. thapsiforme. In areas of immediate contact of their populations, natural hybridization between Verbascum thapsiforme and V. nigrum occurs. Due to this the hybrids are arising which are morphologically intermediate between their parental species by many morphological characters of their vegetative and generative organs. Besides, as to some other signs, they show their similarity both to one and to other parental species, but the degree of such similarity is different, especially it is higher to V. nigrum, than to V. thapsiforme.
