The new cultural researches are made, which based on new theories that appeared after the 1970s. Folk art and traditions are defined as «collective memory» and «common experience». Turkish universities should participate in this discussion and should play their own role and then Turkey will form and develop perspectives of cultural industry.
Folklor günümüzde artık 19. yüzyıldaki kuramlarla çalışılamaz. Kültür çalışmaları 1970’lerden sonra yeni kuramlara göre yapılmaktadır. Folklor günümüzde, ortak bellek ve paylaşılan deneyim olarak tanımlanmalıdır. Bu elemanların da çoğunu kültürel imgeler oluşturmaktadır. Türkiye üniversiteleri bu tartışmaların içinde yer almalıdır. Kültür endüstrisi yaklaşımlarının oluşturulmasına ve geliştirilmesinde rol almalıdır.
