Digital Library of Periodicals of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine| Zusammenfassung: | The author of this article gives analyses of the development of the origins of folk tradition dating to the 11-13th centuries and even to pagan times of Slavs. As a result we have a detailed description of the historical documents of the Rus-Ukraine times as a materials for analyzing folklore. Then the author goes on with the description of the texts from 13th to the 17th Century. Special attention he paid to the first Ukrainian folklore song recorded in the 16th Century (ballad "Dunayu, Dunayu…" fixed in hand written dramatic book of Yan Blahoslav).
