Nesklonost prvog hrvatskog dječjeg časopisa prema postojećem društvenom poretku i političkom stanju nije se, međutim, kao u primjeru upravo spomenute priče, očitovala toliko u izravnoj kritici postojećeg političkog i društvenog poretka koliko u zagovoru novog i u Bosiljku još uvijek vrlo otvoreno shvaćenog tipa političkog i kulturnog ustroja. Nastojanja u tom smjeru iščitavaju se iz doslovce svih rubrika Bosiljka.
