Owing to these “faults” there was no place in the official Soviet cinema for this talented director and teacher who studied at V. Meyerhold, L. Kurbas and O. Dovzhenko. Elaborating the themes “Ukrainian Directors-Teachers” and “The Dovzhenko’s Encyclopeadia” (G. Zatvornytski is a figure) the author of the proposed paper has worked out unknown till this moment archived materials.
