Диагностика интенсивных протонных пучков на основе ядерной реакции ¹¹B(p, α)⁸Be
A nuclear physics method to determine the intense proton beam characteristics by detecting the alpha particles emitted due to the 11B(p, a)8Be reaction is presented. This method has been successfully used in the diagnostics of high-current proton beams on a collective accelerator.
