Автором розглядаються різні підходи до розуміння сутності принципів юридичної відповідальності, аналізуються їх особливості, звернено увагу на основні принципи юридичної відповідальності. Автором рассматриваются различные подходы к пониманию сущности категории «принципы юридической ответственности», анализируются их особенности, обращается внимание на основные принципы юридической ответственности. Author has revealed different approaches to understanding the essence of the principles of legal liability, as well as analyzed it’s peculiarities, has underlined the necessity of direct fixation the deemed principles in the system of legal norms. There have been specified the legal features of the principles, that provide the possibility of profound understanding of the essence of legal liability and it’s interconnection with the common categories. There have been defined the main principles of legal liability, such as: legality, motivation, justice, and non-reverse legal liability, presumption of innocence, right to qualified legal aid, prohibition of double liability for the same legal delict twice and more times, humanism, individual base, on-time principle etc. Several of them are common for both retro- and perspective liability, others only to the stipulated types. Author has provided characteristics of the essence of the defined principles of legal liability.
