Автором исследуются теоретические вопросы института правовой культуры, предлагаются пути и методы повышения её уровня среди населения. Іn the conditions of construction of the law state in Ukraine one of the current and problematic issues is a question of legal culture level in our society which nowadays has no high rates. Lately a negative attitude to the law, its actions and the importance spreads among society. In fact the people of the state lose faith in law as a phenomenon of social reality and a fundamental fool in the context of stale and legal construction. Such tendency is called legal nihilism which scientists call the opposite of the legal culture. One of the main ideas of development of legal system in Ukraine is to overcome existing in society negative attitude to the law which aims to improve the legal culture of society. For the effective overcoming of legal nihilism it is necessary to develop ways and methods of improving level of legal culture in the society which on the law conscious level will have respect and restore the authority of law. The author explores the theory of the institute of legal culture and results recommendation methods (ways, conditions, factors), that can properly influence on increasing of level of legal culture. According to the author of the article, one of the most effective factors for increasing of level of legal culture in the society should be the introduction of compulsory law education in the population of Ukraine. uk Інститут держави і права ім.
