alexanderi. Ýòî ïåðâàÿ íàõîäêà äàííîãî âèäà â Åâðàçèè.
Êëþ÷åâûå ñ ëîâà: Plathelminthes, Monogenea, Gyrodactylidae, Êàì÷àòêà, Gasterosteus aculeatus,
Gyrodactylus alexanderi.
A species of the genus Gyrodactylus interesting from a zoogeographical point of
view was found in Kamchatka. It is figured and redescribed below.
The parasites are mounted as permanent preparations in glycerin-gelatine. Meas-
urements (µm) were made according to the procedure of R. Ergens (1985).
Gyrodactylus alexanderi Mizelle et Kritsky, 1967 (fig. 1)
Host, location and locality: Gasterosteus aculeatus L., 1758; fins; the Sopochnaya
River, Western Kamchatka.
Descr ip t ion. Total length of anchors 75—76, length of their shaft 55, of point
31—33, of root 28—27. Measurements of ventral bar are 8�30. Total length of marginal
hooks 38—39, length of hooklet 8.

There are no reliable information about finds of G. alexanderi in Eastern Hemi-
sphere in the literature. In Western Hemisphere this species was found only in Califor-
nia of the USA (Mizelle, Kritsky, 1967) and British Columbia of Canada (Cone,
Wiles, 1985, Lester, 1972, Lester, Adams, 1974). In all cases, G. alexanderi was de-
tected on Gasterosteus aculeatus.
