Первый эоценовый вид рода Stilbus Seidlitz, 1872 – S. bedovoyi Lyubarsky et Perkovsky описан из позднеэоценового ровенского янтаря. Вид наиболее близок к современному виду Stilbus atomarius (Linnaeus), отличается от него меньшим размером тела, сильной пунктировкой и широко округленной вершиной надкрылий.
