Приведены результаты интродукционного изучения 11 сортов Juniperus horizontalis Moench на юго-востоке Украины. Установлены сроки прохождения фенологических фаз, зависимость роста побегов от количества выпавших осадков. Определена зимостойкость, засухоустойчивость и декоративность сортов. Сорта распределены по форме кроны и окраске хвои, по скорости роста побегов. Выделены декоративные, устойчивые к природно-климатическим условиям юго-востока Украины сорта, перспективные для использования в озеленении населенных пунктов степной зоны Украины: ‘Andorra Compact’, ‘Prince of Wales’, ‘Montana’, ‘Wiltonii’, ‘Andorra Compact Variegata’, ‘Blue Chip’, ‘Blue Pearl’. The paper presents the results of introduction study on 11 varieties of Juniperus horizontalis Moench in the South-Eastern Ukraine. In the course of investigations the terms of phenological phases passing, dependence of the shoot growth on the amount of precipitation have been determined. Winter-, drought-resistance and ornamental characteristics of these varieties have been studied. The investigated varieties were allocated into groups according to their crown form, needle coloration, and shoot growth rates. Ornamental and tolerant to the natural and climatic conditions of the South-East of Ukraine varieties have been named, having potential to be used in greenery planting in the residential areas of the steppe zone of Ukraine: ‘Andorra Compact’, Prince of Wales’, ‘Montana’, ‘Wiltonii’, ‘Andorra Compact Variegata’, ‘Blue chip” and ‘Blue Pearl’.
