Проанализировано статьи и монографии, посвященные исследованию проблемы
негативного влияния процесса химизации сельского хозяйства УССР в конце 50-х – 60-х
годах прошлого века на жизнь и здоровье работников сельского хозяйства. Рассмотрено
основные направления научных поисков исследователей, характеризуются социальной
направ-ленностью проблематики.
The article aims to study and analyze the literature on the problems of health care in rural
areas. The author considers it appropriate to classify and organize the books that were
published over a long period – from the second half of the 40's. till update, and describe their
share in the research of health care for the rural population of Ukraine in 1945-1964. The author
considers it appropriate to classify and organize the books that were published over a long
period – from the late 50's to the present, and describe their share in the research of the effect
of the use of chemicals in agriculture on the health. The research is based on the basic principles of
science, historicism, systematic, comprehensiveness and pluralism. Consistent adherence of
these principles allows, as objectively as possible, to reveal definite issue.
The author notes that the current historiographic study of the problem of the effect of
chemicals of USSR agriculture in the late 50's – 60's of last century on public health is quite
large and includes complex character work and narrow problem work. The research of both
groups historiography, which the author identified, is characterized by coverage of this issue
through the macro level that is the public policy in all its manifestations. Meanwhile, in the micro
studies, that is the life of ordinary peasant, work of the Soviet era and the era of independence
of Ukraine are of great importance, because somehow they presented a thorough analysis of
micro level processes in Ukrainian society without which the objective study of the impact of
agricultural chemicals to the life and health of the rural population will be incomplete and will not
give its deep understanding. On the other hand, previous work did not have the aim to conduct
a comprehensive analysis of the subject.
