У публікації представлені монети з розкопок Тіри Тірської експедиції Інституту археології НАН України за 1987—1990 та 1993 рр. під керівництвом автора. Всі монети з розкопок цих років зберігаються у Наукових фондах Інституту археології НАН України. Атрибутовано 40 монет, з них 4 срібні, решта — мідні. Монети знайдено під час розкопок міських шарів Тіри перших століть н. е., всередині так званої римської цитаделі, в південній частині Центрального розкопу. Античні монети представлені в основному монетами Тіри римського часу, монетами Римської імперії. Поодинокі випадки знахідок монет Тіри та Ольвії елліністичного періоду, а також екземпляри римського провінційного карбування ІІ ст. та фракійських царів середини І ст. н. е., з тірським надкарбуванням. Середньовічний Білгород — Четатя-Албе — Аккерман представлений золотоординськими, молдавськими та турецькими монетами. The publication presents coins from excavations at Tyras conducted by the Tyras Expedition of the Institute of Archaeolology of NASU from 1987 to 1990 and in 1993 headed by the author. All coins from excavations of these years are kept in the Scientific Funds of the Institute of Archaeology of NASU. 40 coins have been attributed, 4 of which were made of silver and others of copper. Coins are found during excavations of the city layers of Tyras of the first centuries AD inside a so-called citadel in the southern part of the Central excavation area. Ancient coins are represented mainly by coins of Tyras of the Roman period and by coins of the Roman Empire. Rare are the finds of coins of Tyras and Olbia of the Hellenistic period, as well as there are specimens of the Roman provinces’ coinage of the 2nd c. and of Thracian kings of the middle of the 1st c. AD with the countermark made in Tyras. Mediaeval Bilhorod — Cetatea-Albă — Akkerman are represented by coins of Golden Horde, by Moldavian and Turkish coins. ru Інститут археології НАН України Археологія і давня історія України Монеты из раскопок Тиры 80-х — 90-х гг.
