Zusammenfassung:In search of a conceptual framework of the study of economic morality the authors have decided on theoretical and methodological foundations of neo-institutionalism, social capital theory, critical works on the sociology of deviant behavior, and differentiation between high and ordinary morality by P.Berger and T.Luckmann. Economic morality is explained as a stable ingrained complex of behavioral imperatives that organize social reality within the dichotomy structure imparting complementary symbolical meaning to social interaction in the sphere of economy. This inquiry is based also on the reinterpretation of the phenomenon of morality, as well as on the Durkheim's principle of the differentiation between norm and deviation according to the statistical occurrence of specific forms of social behavior.
