Розглядаються актуальні питання освіти як системи в умовах сучасної української
 культури. Досліджується система освіти в Україні через аспект багатомовності. Визначені витоки
 комплексності вітчизняної освіти та виявлені тенденції її розвитку. Особлива увага приділяється
 питанням модернізації освіти, розвитку в умовах глобалізації. Аналізуються реалії вищої освіти в
 Україні та її впливу на свідомість та самосвідомість особистості. Доведено, що багатомовність у
 вітчизняній системі освіти перетворюється на невід’ємну складову мовної ситуації та один зі способів
 існування мовної свідомості.
 Ключові слова: БАГАТОМОВІСТЬ, ОСВІТА, СВІДОМІСТЬ, ІДЕНТИЧІСТЬ, ПРАГМАТИЗМ. Рассматриваются актуальные вопросы образования как системы в условиях современной
 украинской культуры. Исследуется система образования в Украине через аспект многоязычия.
 Определены истоки комплексности отечественного образования и выявлены тенденции его развития.
 Особое внимание уделяется вопросам ее модернизации, развития в условиях глобализации.
 Анализируются реалии высшего образования в Украине и его влияния на сознание и самосознание
 личности. Доказано, что многоязычие в отечественной системе образования превращается в
 неотъемлемую составляющую языковой ситуации и один из способов существования языкового
 сознания.

 education in Ukraine through the aspect of multilingualism. Identified the sources of the complexity of the
 national education and tendencies of its development. Particular attention is paid to its modernization, the
 development in a globalizing world. Analyzes the realities of higher education in Ukraine and its impact on the
 consciousness and self-consciousness of the individual. The observed increase in the educational level in
 Ukraine does not automatically lead to an increase in the level of national consciousness and a deeper and more
 genuine awareness of the role and importance of the state language. It is proved that multilingualism in the
 national education system is transformed into an integral component of the language situation, and one of the
 ways the existence of linguistic consciousness. It was found that, depending on the context, multilingualism can
 play both a positive and a neutral or negative role. Attention is focused on the fact that, on the one hand, the
 need to make the appropriate adjustments to the language of the state and the doctrine of state language policy,
 and the other - focused efforts aimed at changing the language situation in the direction of a significant increase
 in the authority of, the values, the role of Ukrainian as the state language and the national language of the
 titular nation. At the same time, the ultimate goal of these efforts is to achieve and maintain a balance between
 national consciousness and identity, and pragmatism.
