Статья написана на основе фондов Государственного архива города Севастополя. В ней рассматриваются вопросы школьного строительства в городе в конце 20-х — 30-е годы XX века. The sources learned allowed to analyze the material data of the educational system. Sevastopol authorities paid systematic attention to the point of the school building development. The City Council is constantly increasing allocations for public education, but the schools still had a great lack of classrooms and teaching aids. The state contributed funds to eliminate the illiteracy among the different categories of the population, but that was not enough too. The money from the public education fund had to have been used. Positive changes occurred in the late 30's of the last century. The school programs of the subjects in 1927 – 1928 academic year have become more specific and stable, the logical connections between teaching the general subjects and special ones were established. The implementation of the industrial and economic education in Sevastopol was carried out in accordance with state requirements.
