В статье исследована сущность понятия «интеграционное объединение»; проанализированы основные этапы и виды интеграционных процессов; изложены основные направления интеграции Украины; определены преимущества и недостатки участия Украины в существующих интеграционных объединениях: СНГ, ОЧЭС, ГУАМ, ЕС, ВТО; проанализированы результаты сотрудничества Украины с ЕС и СНГ; даны предложения по оптимизации участия Украины в интеграционных объединениях. Integration affect the strengthening of cooperation between the two countries, regulation of global economic systems, improving the standard of living, ensuring good neighborly relations and security. Depending on the degree of integration is divided into four levels, depending on the development and integration - six. The highest degree of integration - the creation of an economic and monetary union. Integration associations can be interpreted as the organizational structure, which coincide combined national interests. This structure combines two or more entities which operate on the basis of international agreements and standards have the same or a similar level of economic development and cooperate in order to ensure the development of each of the entities that make up its membership. The main areas iintehratsiyi Ukraine are: EU, CIS, BSEC, GUAM, NATO, WTO. The analysis of the foreign policy of Ukraine it is clear that the integration of two vectors: the post-Soviet and European. The most appropriate areas in the integration processes are the following: trade-economic, scientific-technical, cultural and political. It makes sense to study the effectiveness of cooperation between Ukraine and the two integration units - the CIS and the EU, as the structure of foreign trade with the countries of these organizations account for about 65% of foreign trade. The nature of these trade integration association is raw nature, not quite a positive effect on the economy of Ukraine as a result of it focuses less on the technological activities. Dynamics of the trade balance of Ukraine with the EU and the CIS leads to the conclusion that the most effective is the trade with CIS countries.
