У статті розроблено наукові основи, методичні положення для виміру, оцінки й аналізу
 виробничого потенціалу та потенціалів, що його формують, а також виявлено особливості і розроблено
 практичні рекомендації щодо поліпшення використання і відтворення потенціалу на промислових
 підприємствах. В статье разработаны научные основы, методические положения для измерения, оценки и
 анализа производственного потенциала и потенциалов, которые его формируют, а также выявлены
 особенности и разработаны практические рекомендации по улучшению использования и
 воспроизводству потенциала на промышленных предприятиях. The scientific bases, methodical positions for measurement, estimations and the analysis of industrial
 potential, and also features and practical recommendations on improvement of use and reproduction of potential
 at the industrial enterprises are developed.
 The complex transformation processes that take place in national economy, have identified a number of
 theoretical and practical problems, which require primary solution. Transition to market relations occurs in
 conditions of absence of unified scientific and methodological bases. This makes it difficult to study the
 underlying processes occurring in industries.
 One of the major issues of economic theory and practice is to create a methodological and methodical
 framework to measure, and assess the state and effectiveness of productive potential usage and reproduction.
 This is a problem in the industry, the economy of which points to the need for drastic measures to withdraw
 many of its branches out of stagnation. It is established that production potential is formed and developed on the
 basis of a number of principles, which include: complexity, integrity, substitutability and complementarity of its
 constituent elements of production, their reversibility, the ability to reproduction and acceptance of all kinds of
 impact and also its class character.
