У статті наведено порівняльний аналіз умов ведення аграрного бізнесу в розвинених країнах
(країнах Західної Європи та США) і в Україні з метою обгрунтування доцільності розвитку
агрохолдингів в умовах України; при цьому в якості умов ведення аграрного бізнесу розглянуті: обсяги
прямої фінансової підтримки, стан ринку землі, а також зіставлення цін на закупівлю сільгосп сировини
з собівартістю вирощування цієї ж продукції; в цих цілях проведено детальних розрахунок собівартості
вирощування 1т озимої пшениці дрібними і великими сільгосп виробниками в США, Ірландії (ЄС) і в
Україні.
The article presents a comparative analysis of the conditions for the agricultural business in
developed countries (Western Europe and the U.S.) and in Ukraine in order to justify the feasibility of
development of agrarian holdings in conditions of Ukraine. At the same time as conditions for Agribusiness
there are considered the following parameters: the volume of direct financial support (subsidies), the level of
development of the land market and a comparison of purchase prices of agricultural raw materials with the cost
of growing the same products; for these purposes there was conducted a detailed cost calculation of growing 1t
winter wheat by small and large agricultural producers in the U.S., Ireland (the EU) and Ukraine.
On the basis of these calculations it is concluded that under the conditions of the U.S. and the EU it is more
advantageous for large food industries to purchase agricultural raw materials from small farmers, mainly due to high
cost of land lease – so that cost of agricultural commodities grown (for e.g. 1t of winter wheat) in large farms is also
high. In the same time, under the conditions of Ukraine it is more profitable to build large vertically integrated
agrarian holdings which combine both growing and processing agricultural raw materials. The land lease cost
and level of direct payments for small farmers in Ukraine are relatively low and thus the cost of agricultural
commodities grown (1t of winter wheat) in large agrarian holdings is lower than in small farms.
